DEEP BELLY BREATHING FOR RAPID CALMING
Sit or lie on your back in a quiet place where you won't be disturbed.
Take a deep breath in from your belly - picture your abdomen as being like an accordion. With each breath in, it expands to the very maximum. With each breath out it contracts, squeezing out every last bit of air.
Keep your shoulders and chest relaxed and still.
Hold your breath in as long as possible, and out as long as possible.
This technique actually revs up our body's parasympathetic nervous system, which helps to relax our body and slow it down!
