As a life coach with more than 23 years of experience as a psychiatrist in private practice, it is my joy to be of help to anyone who wants to learn, grow, and thrive, but is not sure what the next step might be. I have also been doing personal energy and spiritual work for the last 40 years.  I will use everything I have learned in my very holistic approach to well-being to design a plan that meets your specific needs.  Every contact is strictly confidential.

DEEP BELLY BREATHING FOR RAPID CALMING

Sit or lie on your back in a quiet place where you won't be disturbed. 
Take a deep breath in from your belly - picture your abdomen as being like an accordion.  With each breath in, it expands to the very maximum.  With each breath out it contracts, squeezing out every last bit of air. 
Keep your shoulders and chest relaxed and still.
Hold your breath in as long as possible, and out as long as possible.
Repeat.
This technique actually revs up our body's parasympathetic nervous system, which helps to relax our body and slow it down!
